The etchings in my skull tell me I'm called Heyoka and the reassuring pressure intertwining my hand is my best friend, Montauk. Pleased to meet you.

// I'm a visually impaired digital cartoonist who makes art as a form of therapy, predominately drawing things which are distressing yet sincere metaphors for my experiences. Themes typically concern dehumanization, alienation and the loss of personal autonomy; a result from being the life-long subject of medical interventions and investigation. Much of the art features gore and body-horror, so please view with discretion.

My disabilities, visual and otherwise, are degenerative and therefore put a finite timespan on my artistic capabilities. I draw as often as I can while it remains possible, more or less daily.

While I occasionally produce fandom artwork, most of my pieces feature my original character (and childhood imaginary friend) 'Montauk' (Real name: Sal "Sonny" Volero). He is my connection to the world and the interpreter of my inner life.

Other interests: vintage electronics & audio equipment, robotic toys, alternative music (grunge, punk, industrial, new wave, black metal, gothic, post-punk).
